Royal Baby #2 is born !

Prince William and Kate have a another baby! That makes it Baby #2 .She was born on May 2, 2015.

 Two days later, they announced their daughter's name, Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.

Princess Kate gave birth to a girl who weighted 8 pounds and 3 ounces at St. Mary's Hospital in London. Their son George who is know as Prince George, Duke of Cambridge was born on July 22, 2013 , now has a younger sister.

Many people were glad to see that Queen Elizabeth and his mother Princess Diana of Wales who passed away in 1997 names were used. Charlotte is fourth in line to succeed her great grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, and the first female in line.

This birth was a big deal in the United Kingdom. Even big as the royal wedding.

 People were waiting outside the hospital to be the first to see the new baby. They would stay days and days. People also were betting on what the parents would name the new child.

It did not take the royal family long to show the world the new baby. Prince William and Kate came out of the hospital less than ten hours after the baby was born.

Places like the London Eye, the Tower Bridge, and Trafalgar square were lit up in pink to tell the world that the new princess was born.

“I think Kate and William could have the perfect ending with a boy and girl” , said India Hicks to PEOPLE. India Hicks is a cousin to William’s father, Prince Charles. “But I suspect they won’t stop there.”

Unfortunately, Prince Harry, William's brother has not had the chance to meet Charlotte. Harry came for a short visit back to England in April. But Charlotte had not been born yet.

     “He sent me two photos; one before everybody else, which was nice, and then another – one with her back with George back home" said Harry. “She was a little bit late, hence I missed her. So she’ll have to work on that! But apart from that, it’s fantastic news for both of them. So I’m thrilled.”

     “So, as I said, I’m so looking forward to seeing her, to meeting her and to holding her",  said Prince Harry to Times.

We wonder if Prince William and Princess Kate are planning on having a third child. We hope to see another royal baby soon.
